COVID and Moderna vaccine

About 2 weeks after the shot I started to feel "not 100%" and then went into AFib for a day (after being in NSR for quite awhile). Don't know if there is a connection (no one does).

Wow! That's not cool! Are we 100% confident it was the COVID VacRx?

Dehydration is a big problem during the winter time as it gets so dry, so it could be that. Additionally, if you had any fever as a side effect from the shot, it could have exacerbated the winter-time dehyration. We discussed exactly this on the COVID-19 vaccine webinar Friday with Dr. Chung of Cleveland Clinic.

Side effects from the shot seem to only last 36-48 hours in the majority of cases, so unless you've had continuous side effects for the full two weeks since the shot, it is probably not due to the shot.

Schedule for my first shot tomorrow.  A little nervous. I'm sure it will be fine. I'm not dehydrated,  so hope no Afib.

Jameskelly, I hope your shot goes well today.  My husband and I had our first shot yesterday (Pfizer) and are scheduled for the second shot in 3 weeks.  Neither of us had any bad effects.  I did not even feel the needle when it went in.  The system was efficient and all the staff/volunteers were kind.  We both went home and took naps afterward, but that's not unusual!  My arm has a very slight soreness but nothing really bothersome.  I hope everyone's COVID shot goes smoothly!

Good luck James. You are fortunate to be getting it. Here in Montreal we are really lagging behind. They are talking the fall. And some say the rate we are going 2022. keep us posted.
