The New Lynne

Story image

2 years ago in February 2016 I was fighting for my life. I had a massive stroke and I was bleeding in my brain. My Family did not think I would survive. I had 1% of life left in my body and was comatose for about 9 days. .

I survived the brain surgery, 53 day hospital stay and the rehab. But for GOD and my immediate family, my extended family and my friends! I have defied the odds and I am blessed beyond measure.

I was 74 lbs when I came home. Now I am over 125 lbs (LOL). I still have a way to go but I am well on my way to recovery. I don't think I'll ever be 100% and I am ok with that. I like the new Lynne!

I had to re-learn EVERYTHING! Even stuff that we take for granted. I take nothing for granted anymore.

I THANK GOD and each and every one of the prayers, words of encouragement and  wonderful thoughts! I could go on and on. .My family and friends are very supportative.

I had the largest prayer circle that I have ever seen. It literally stretched from coast to coast!

I don't sweat the small stuff and things I can't control anymore. I try not to let the big stuff get to me either. I hug my loved ones a little tighter because I NEVER even felt myself slip out of here. I'm so glad I did't have a harsh word for anyone that day or the days leading up to the stroke.

I can't walk really far, I seem to be lackig strenght on my dominate/right side and ny fine motor skills on the right side are really bad, but I am alive!

I am grateful. .
