Mitral/Tricupsid Valve Surgeries
Hi,This is my first time posting my story dealing with "Heart Disease", my journey began at a very young age when I had strep throat, when turn into scarlet fever, then end being rhuematic fever, that lead me to having rhuematic heart disease. At the age of eleven I received my first surgery to replace my mitarl valve, two years after the surgery I had a stroke that keep me down for a month and a half. Even though I did not received any major damage, the struggle to learn how to walk, talk , and move my left side again was a battle. In 1979, I received my second surgery for my mitral valve and that was the last time or so I beleived. Once you began living your life again and everything is gong well you never see whats coming until it hits.In March of 1999, I end being back in the hospital for congestive heart failure (CHF), the next month ,April I end up having my third heart surgery, the surgeon told me that I would not need another surgery after this one, this stime I had my mitral and my tricupsid replaced. Time brings about change right, well last month (March),2017, while I was visiting my cardiologist, he informed me that I should think about having
another surgery,WOW! Last year April, I had to have my deflibrillator replace for the second time and now this. To think about having another susrgery really consumes your every thoughs, I pray and ask God for guidance, but its me that is uncertain about going through this again. No matter what rode I choose to take my life is and will always be in Gods hand.. Pray for me as I pray for us all, as we walk throughthis journey of life.
