Heart Attack Survivor(s) Care Giver

My father had a heart attack when I was in high school, the summer I was due to start my junior year; for years, he'd been a chronic smoker, going through a pack of Tahoe's in one day! He went to visit my mother in the hospital (who had also had a heart attack; left her with 30% of her heart working; she died last October & I was also her care giver) & almost as soon as he made it to the parking lot, he felt a tightness in his chest & found it difficult to breathe. Fortunately, he was (as I said) already at the hospital; those first few minutes are very critical, & as soon as he walked into the hospital, the staff knew what was happening & what to do. Today, he's a 58-year-old grandfather with a great sense of humor & while we don't always see eye to eye, at the end of the day we're going to bed with smiles on our faces.
