Heart attack Survivor at 48

I was driving to get an oil change done on my mother's truck , when I got down from the truck after arriving to the oil change service station walked around then,  I felt kind of disoriented and a tightness of my chest like a brick sitting on it, almost like I wasn't getting enough oxygen to my brain I didn't know I was having a heart attack I had no pain my EKG showed normal my blood test came back normal not till that evening did they find out that I had had a heart attack had  a stent placed n my widow maker 85% blocked.... there needs to be some kind of information sent home with you on foods to eat not just told  low cholesterol , low sodium diet and what to expect next couple days after you go home .About personality changes also that happened after heart attack..

    You're very fortunate to have survived your heart attack with 85% blockage and you're right, there should be detailed information available for diet and exercise. Somme hospitals do provide this information as well as providing assistance in the event of depression should you need it. Regarding diet, I asked my cardiologist point blank what I could eat and she gave me some guidance. She also made it clear that deviating on occasion won't kill me but warned me not to make it a habit. I would sit down with your cardiologist and express your concerns. Good luck to you.
