Heart attack out of the blue.

I'm a 64 year old gym rat, with a cholesterol level never over 150, BP 140/80, not overly concerned, but always eating low in fat, maybe a bit on the salted part, and last August 11th I had to go to the emergency room and get a sten on my LAD,( Doc said 99% blockage on the widow maker). What gives?. My only symptom was an excruciating pain right under my sternon, but nothing else. I blamed the pain on muscule spasms, due to the day before gym visit. Wow, that I was wrong!.
The reason I'm posting this is as a warning to others, like me, over confident on healthy stats, that at the end of the day mean nothing.
Now, two weeks later, I still feel like I was ran over by a tractor trailer loaded with bricks, but getting better little by little,( don't rush it, it's like watching grass grow).
Good luck to us all, we are hurting, but the other option was worse.
Cesar.

    Kerstin Wiggins,
Cesar, thank you so much for sharing your story. This is such a great reminder for us all that life can change at any moment, and that even after events like this, it does get better. I love the part about "watching grass grow"! I sincerely hope you are continuing to see improvements every day.
