Given Another Chance

I had a sudden heart attack on the morning of Aug 30,2016. No warning.  I was taken to a hospital near by where it was determined I was in the process of having a massive heart attack.  From that hospital I was rushed via ambulence to a 2nd hospital where it was discovered I had 1 artery 99% blocked. A stent was put in my LAD.  I am now an advocate for heart attack, heart disease and stroke prevention via Women's Heart Alliance. My mission and goal is to help educate others on healthy diet, excerise etc.  Talk to your doctor today!

    Dottieann,
Sorry to hear that. I am not sure why they took you to two different hospitals unless the first hospital didn' t do stents...I have three stents one was 90% blocked the other two 100% I also had a double bypass in 2015 all this started back in 1998.......take care of yourself .....you can still live a great life...I do everything everyone else does and still works standing on my feet for 6 hours a day...I am not a young person...stay positive. HeartAttacktto5K,
Congratulations on surviving that experience...My story was a bit longer, but I survived as well with 6 stents in all of my arteries. My mission is the same as yours but to reach as many people as possible and share my lessons learned. I too promote diet and exercise :) If I can change just a few peoples life in a positive direction, I will be happy. Thanks for sharing, Joe
