FIGHTING BACKMY NAME IS AL PATIS,57 YEARS OLD and healthy prior to sufffering a ischemic stroke on November 18, 2015 resulting from an undetected heart attack, paralyzing my entire left side and being unable to walk or write my name on a sheet of paper with my left hand.
As a former Boxing Coach for Parkinson patients in a non-contact boxing program. This was my passion that ended after my stroke.
However, after one year of intensive rehab with my PT and Boxing Coach and determination, I have overcome my paralysis and began coaching again,
but not only to Parkinson patients, but to stroke survivors and heart patients with movement issues, like ourselves.
My mission for the rest of my life is to offer my boxing classes on a volunteeer or donation basis to folks like us.
I currrently hold these cardio-boxing classes@ Mount Si Senior Center 411 Main Avenue South, North Bend, WA on Monday eves 6-7pm
