Newly Diagnosed Advice

Hi,

I met a lady today at the gf aisle in our local health food shop and she told me her daughter has just been diagnosed very recently. Whilst it wasnt what her daughter wanted to hear there is a history of CD in the family through her grandparents so it didnt come as a complete bolt from the blue
Thing is that her GP diagnosed her with CD there & then following her blood test results & told her the result was conclusive so she neednt worry about going for a biopsy. I explained to the lady that it might be a good idea to have the biopsy done so that the result is definite and that is what the CSOI would advise & that her daughter shouldnt start the GF diet until after the biopsy.
I dont want to undermine her GP but wonder if I did the right thing by advising her to get her daughter to undergo the biopsy?

Any help will be apprecited.

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.

As I am not a physician, I don't make it a practice to either diagnose or question the diagnosis of people I meet in the aisle at the Health Food Store.
