    AllHeart,
Hi Dennis. Our stories are pretty similar. Just TODAY I was told that, after my doctor noticed a heart murmur, that I'm going to need an aortic valve replacement which is OPEN HEART SURGERY. Of course, those words really threw me into shock, especially since I feel so good! As an ambassador, are you open to speaking on the phone with some questions, yes and fears, that I have? I wasn't sure if this is how you Ambassadors work. I just stumbled upon all you ambassadors and it instantly relieved me to know there are others out there with the same issue who could give guidance! My email is david@slangman.com. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks, Dennis!

    BROWNEYED,

    Hello ALLHEART,

i am looking for the same kind of support for my father to be able to talk to somebody with his recent diagnosis. Did you get a hold of anybody? By the way, I hope you're doing well.

    Hi Dennis,

Thanks for sharing your story. I just joined and am new to all this.  I need to have my aortic valve replaced in January and just had a heart cath this week.  I would like to read more of your experience.  Did you have a lot of pain? How long was your recovery?  How long til you could drive?  I look forward to hearing from you, thanks

    Ce1969,

my name is Yolanda.  76 years old .  Tomorrow I am going to see a heart surgeon about

the different existing procedures to replace my aortic valve which is currently in a “severe”

stage.  I have read a lot about traditional, open heart procedure, but I really would like

to avoid that one. Scares me to death ! That is the truth.

I heard  about the “minimally invasive procedure” in which surgeons make an incision

between the first an second rib .

If anybody can give me some ideas about the “pros and cons “  of this procedure ,I will so

much appreciate.   Any general information about it would be wonderful.

I am going through a very hard time just with the thought of heart surgery and I am

afraid that won’t help me tomorrow during my app. With the surgeon.  Thank you for your support.
