Living with TIA

In August it will have been 1 year since my TIA.  My symptoms after the attack have seemed to be all over the place, but the one that remains consistent are headaches.  Nothing like when all this begin but they come on suddenly, sometimes severe, some last a minute some last longer.  Does anyone else experience these and is this a lifetime of them?

Good morning, I can share the information we have on TIA's with you.  Have you been able to talk with your neurologist about the headaches? My thought is that you should get a check-up to make sure all as it should be. Best Katie

Hi there..thanks for reaching out and sharing your experience. It must be tough to deal with. As a stroke survivor I have never had headaches during recovery. My suggestion would be to make sure your neurologist is aware of this and provides the proper tests to figure out why and what to do. A second opinion is always important. Hang in there. There may be a explanation for this. Keep fighting!!!!

Thanks Katie & Matthew for your replies!  I have a follow up appointment coming up so I will be sure and share about the headaches.  @  Katie, thanks for the link for TIA's; going to take a look now.

    Good 🌄  Morning

I am sorry to hear about your headaches. I too am a stroke survivor. I can say that anytime I feel something different, I immediately contact my neurologist. Having a stroke makes us more aware of symptoms, that normally we probably would have chalked up to stress, allergies etc.

My advice would be to contact either your primary doctor or if you have a neurologist, contact them.

I have learned since my stroke that I have become more "in tune" with the way I feel.  Don't feel silly or overreactive by contacting your doctor anytime you just don't feel comfortable.  I hope my words have helped. Please let us know how you are doing after your visit.

    God bless,  Toni
