I am so glad I found this site. I was the recipient of a single stent implant this last Tuesday. They released me on Wednesday afternoon. I have been having pains in the chest area and a little aching in the left shoulder. I was thinking what in the heck is going on? Is there something drastically wrong with the stent they just stuck in my vein? So, it is with much relief that I found this site and to learn that I am not crazy! I am a 55 year old male that smoked 1.5 packs of cigarettes per day for 35 years. They stated i did not have a heart attack but that the 1 artery was 70% blocked. I have not picked up a cigarette since - and I don't plan to. I just want to thank the user community for sharing their stories. I am not as scared now...

Thanks for sharing. Yes, what you'really saying makes sense, but it could be something else entirely. The body responds in different ways to procedures and repair. All you can do is write down your symptoms and inform your doctors, getting second opinions if you don't get the answers. God bless.

Hey there and welcome to the AHA SN. Sounds like you have taken significant steps toward improving your overall health. And yeah, you are totally not alone.
Take things slow. Listen to your body. Make better choices (like you are by not smoking).
