Progression of aortic stenosis
I was told to have a moderate aortic stenosis secondary to chronic rheumatic valvular heart disease 6 months back. Following the diagnosis I was appointed at the only public hospital where cardiac surgury is performed. Thousands are waiting for cardiac surgery in the hospital. Currently, I am experienceing shortness of breath, easy fatiguability and burining pain over my chest and upper back. I am afraid if I develop end stage heart failure before my turn to the surgery. My questions: how fast is the progresion of aortic stenosis from your experience? How can I slow the progression of my problem?

Good morning, I can share what we have on Aortic Stenosis with you. However, the question about progression really does need to go to your doctor. If your symptoms are worsening, they may need to move you up on the list of surgical candidates. Please know that we are here to help and support you. Best Katie

I have a mild heart valve disease. I was diagnosed with it in 2006.
