LVH Need Ideas how to fix this.
I had chest pains last month. It was in the center of my chest up and down my chest. I thought it was gas mostly because when I burped it felt a little better and there was acid. I made an appointment with the doctor and heprescriped and antacid that I never took because I felt better the next day or so. To be on the safe saide they wanted me to have an echo. I had the echo and they diagnosed me with LVH.
I'm a 41 yo black male that is overweight (technically obese), has obsructive sleep apnea (treated with a CPAP), with hypertension. I thought my HBP was under control through the medication, but when I look at my readings despite the lights on the maching turing green for good, the numbers put me in either elevated or hypetensive 1 all the time. I'm a smart person but I don't know what all this means long term. I'm going to focus more on weight watchers, and being more active. I am currently on the following meds for my HBP:
Angiotensin II Receptor Blocker (ARB) - Olmesartan Medoxomil
Calcium Channel Blocker - Amlodipine
Diuretic - Hydrochlorothiazide
Beta-blocker - Metoprolol Succinate
I'm open to all advice, I've had trouble sleeping since I was told this news Monday. I got 3 hours the last two days and I could't sleep at all last night. I guess I'm afraid.
