Good morning, I am so very sorry that you are having to manage all of this, all at once. I can share the information we have on heart failure with you. How are you doing with the life vest? I want to share with you this really cool new Impact Map with you. It's a digital collection of all the survivor stories we have gathered throughout the last few years. There are a few stories on the map that include people using life vests as a part of their treatment program. It might be an inspirational read for you.
Please know that we are here to listen and support you through this time. Best Katie

As difficult as it was for you to have been given this diagnosis, it's fortunate that your condition was discovered and you are being treated. Remember that we have excellent treatments for heart conditions and those treatments are always getting better. This is also true for medications. Now that you are being treated, ask about cardiac rehab. This is a good way to help you on your road to recovery. I have advocated this often and I have recently read a medical document that emphasized the importance of cardiac rehab for heart patients. Ask your cardiologist.
Wishing you all the best in your recovery!

I’m newly diagnosed also, EF 20%. I’m home two weeks on several medications and the Zoll life vest as well. I was in disbelief about my diagnosis. I’ve had high blood pressure controlled with medication but no previous heart issues. I’m 60 and thought I was too young for congestive heart failure but see you are much, much younger than I. I feel much better after they gave me Lasix for the fluid on my lung. How are you feeling two months later?

I'm sorry to hear this. As I spouse of someone who was diagnosed with HF this year I know how shocking and upsetting this can be. My husband's EF% was 21% and with medications, 6 months later it is up to 48%! Its so scary but they have come so far with medications and devices that can help.
