Good morning, I can share what we have on Alcohol and Heart Health with you. I also think you should ask your doctor or pharmacist about alcohol and specific drug interactions. Thanks Katie

I addressed this question with my cardiologist after my surgery. Specifically I told her I enjoy a glass of wine with dinner and asked if it was a problem. She told me if it's red wine, have two. I agree with Katie that you should discuss this with your doctor.

Probably need more information and you should talk with your doctor, cardiologist, and pharmacist. Alcohol will drop your bp. I've had a small glass of wine from time to time, and I wait til my bp is up, but I don't entirely like the effect. Research might help you.

Im 36 and i was diagnosed with CHF in June 2018. Stopped drinking then. Still havent started. Giving myself a year off from drinking. But i plan to start again in june/july once my #s are where i want it to in terms of EF and my weight.
I like my scotch. I feel like if all my heart #s are where its supposed to be with the medicine I can enjoy a couple of drinks here n there. Is that being naieve? I love hanging out with friends and drinking. Would love to continue. Anyone on this forum still drinking more than just wine here n there? Please let me know. Very curious about this topic
