Hypotension and Meds
I’m feeling a little down. Before my diagnosis of HF, I always had low blood pressure (typically in the 90’s/60’s). I know Beta blockers and ACE inhibitors are key to a good prognosis, but even the low doses my BP falls really low. Is there anyone else who had low BP before their diagnosis? If so, how long did it take you to adjust? How low did your BP get while adjusting? I’m feeling a bit hopeless .

Good morning, thank you so much for sharing this, I know this time must be hard for you. What does your doctor say about your concerns? And, have you asked your pharmacist? They can also be an excellent source of information I have found. Best Katie

Cardiologist who treats me has an excellent reputation. I take a small dose of coreg (3.125mg 2X daily). My BP frequently reads something like 94/60. Doc doesn't seem concerned. I'm still recovering from these events since this past Xmas: Diverticulitis, then a bad side effect reaction to my 2nd Shingrix shot, followed by an exciting C-Diff infection and finally a pneumonia event that landed me in the hosp. for 4 days. Trying to recover my exercise regime - I'm up to 2 miles treadmill and 2 miles recumbent bike. I have a new fly in the ointment: something going on with my eustacian tubes. They feel plugged with strange sounds - unless I bend over for a few seconds, then the issue ends (until I sit up again.) I see an ENT Doc this Weds.
