PVCs at rest

I am a 24 year old male with a congenital heart defect (ressected LV aneurysm at birth).  I have scar tissue along the LV and septum which creates PVCs.  Historically, I have not felt the PVCs and have managed well with beta blockers and ACE inhibitors.  I took Cetirizine for seasonal allergies on Easter and have had incidents of back pain, chest pain, neck pain, headaches and light-headedness over the last month.  I have worn 2 holters and am waiting on my cardiologist to read the second monitor.  These episodes are very disruptive and impact my ability to work, drive and function.  I am trying to understand what may have happened to trigger these symptoms.  Any ideas?

    Hi there!

Thank you for sharing your story with the support network. We are so glad that you are here and we hope that you benefit from reading the experiences of other people with similar conditions. As you wait for others to reply, I can recommend some resources for you like this one on Cetirizine and its side effects. The symptoms you were experiencing don't seem to be in line with the common side effects of that medication, so I would urge you to speak to your doctor, as it could indicate a deeper issue. There is a Congenital Heart Defect forum on the support network that may offer some more stories that are relevant to the problems you are experiencing.

    Please keep us updated!
