Long Term side effects of Heart Ablation

I had my Ablation done in March 2020 and been having chest and upper back pain off and on since. Has anyone experienced chest & back muscle pain since a Heart Ablation?

Good morning, I am sorry that you are still experiencing discomfort. I can share what we have on Ablations for Arryhtmias with you. There is also the question of, what has your doctor said about the muscle pain? Thank you so much for posing this question.  I think our members will be able to share their experiences and provide some insight as well. Best Katie

Five months is a long time to have pain from ablation. Have you discussed this with your doctor? There are a few very-rare side effects from ablation that he/she will probably want to rule out first, so it's definitely time to discuss this with your doctor.

Good luck. I hope it is not related to ablation but perhaps is something else.

A highly qualified EP will inform you the risk. Texas Cardiac Arrythmmia in Austin/Dallas performed my procedure and back pain was not a risk. You could have other medical issues that only a doctor with test findings can target root cause. It could be a kidney infection? Spasm or spine related, or other.
