I am 48 years old. I was diagnosed with SVT at 21 and for years would have episodes off and on. In 2019 they were coming more often. November 2019 went in for an ablation. It was not successful. I was doing ok till about February 12 of 2021 and started having extra/skipped beats. Cardiologist took me off atenolol and put me on diltiazem. It has been aboutv3 weeks and they seem to be acting up again. My question is I have an appointment for covid vaccine and I am completely terrified of a reaction with my heart. Just curious if anyone has experienced a reaction with their heart.
Thanks for any feedback. I am crazy anxious.

Thank you for joining the Support Network and sharing your story. We are happy you are here! Unfortunately, I'm not a medical professional, so I suggest that you raise these concerns with your doctor to get their insight. In the meantime, I can share some resources from AHA on COVID-19 and Stress Management.
Please keep us updated on how you are doing!

I have SVT/Vtach with ablation that was succesful but not 100 percent. Still have some issues but on propafenone(sp). With that said I have gotten the moderna vaccine with no issues and they recommended that I get it. So I would just call your doctors office and make sure first. First does you get a sore arm and second dose you get a bit sick for about 24 hours and sore arm again for a couple days. Hope this helps. - Jason
