Looking for heart attack survivors over 2 minutes cpr
I walked into the ER room about a minute to two minutes after my father had a full blown heart attack. His eyes were open wide and his mouth and they were facing me. He has since passed away 3 weeks later. I just need to know if he was able to see acknowledge are you someone who had this happen and did you see what was going on around you? Were you able to hear? I was there, was he able to see me.? You can even text me if you don't mind I'm only 26 and next of kin. It is hard to keep myself in one piece while our world is shattering.

I am so very sorry that this happened to your father and very glad that our members are here to support you through this time. I did want to check in that I removed the cell # included in the original post for your safety. When members are interested in having others connect with them offline, what I suggest is that both parties email SupportNetwork@heart.org and I can facilitate sharing private info.
Please know that we are here for you and what to be as supportive as you need during this time.

I had 2 cardiac arrests (and a widowmaker heart attack) and was without a heart beat for 3 mins. It was the most peaceful experience of my life. I promise you that God is with you and your father.
I can't speak to whether or not someone can hear or see during a cardiac event but I can say that as I was slipping away, I felt a calming peace and presence that I never felt before. To echo Time 121 and DolphinWrite, my life has changed forever and yes, God is watching over both of you....this I have no doubt.
I wish you peace and love in this difficult time for you.

My husband had the widow maker and he is on now almost 2 years later but he remembers nothing of that day.. or alot after that until after his heart surgery. I unfortunately remember everything. I performed CPR for about 8 minutes.
