Spencer, this is for you and Thor!
Spencer....I know this doesn't look like Thor, but reminded me of him....and you waiting for your sunrise.
I hope you are both having a good week-end! Woof! Woof!

Jean - Thanks.
Planning Thor's birthday party this Thursday. So if anyone is near Virginia Beach, VA on Thursday... come on by.

How Old is Mr Thor, if I may ask?
I know you can not or should not ask ladies for their age. But Caninnes should be no problem.
THOR would not mind I think.

Thor Fuzzybutt will be ten this Thursday. For a Boxer, he has already outlived 90% of all other Boxers. So he is doing well. Interesting that he has a heart murmur also...
We will have him a lovely party with some of our neighbors. His main course is a 9 oz filet mignon and then a cake for dessert. A bit outside of his regular diet, but it is his birthday, and we have been more generous lately due to his age. He is an excellent dog - 12 illegal aliens surrendered to him when we were walking on the trail in San Diego. He thought they were playing hide and seek and he is rather good at that game. The border patrol came by and picked up everyone. After that when we would go out trail jogging and set off the sensors, the BP would come out and they usually brought him some cookies. Another time he jerked my wife out of the way of a rattlesnake that was hidden in a bush. So he has earned his keep.
Currently, he is in his room with a Tempur-Pedic bed (we got with the house, and neither one of us liked it so its the puppy's now) and snoring like a teamster.

This is when I wish there were a Like button. Jean, I love that photo and sentiment. Spencer, I love the story of the Border Patrol taking those guys into custody thanks to the good work of Tracker Thor!
Happy Sunday, everyone. I'm trying to rest up today after the crazy pace of the past few days in Houston (especially with the craziness of the city due to the Bush funeral). Houston traffic was awful. Then, yesterday afternoon, it took an hour to get through security at the airport (due to their being ultra cautious with all the dignitaries coming and going for the funeral), then 4+ hours sitting on the plane (with no food) in Houston last night due to DFW Airport being closed for weather, and then having to fly 1.5 hours (instead of 3/4 hour) by way of Corpus Christi and San Antonio to come in from the back side of the storm. I'm being a slug today while doing email and washing clothes and repacking at my son's house (not enough time to go home to the farm) before leaving again in the morning for DC. Hope you all have a great day!

Mellanie....so glad you finally made it back to your son's home although through a "round about" route. My daughter in Houston said the traffic there with Mrs. Bush's funeral was really bad...but it seems bad for me there on an average day! I hope your trip to D.C. will be a good one and you will not experience any more delays. I am sure you are gathering more information in your travels that will benefit all of us here in this forum...so thanks for that!
Wishing you safe travels and the best regards,

Wow, Spencer.....Thor is quite a dog! You should write a book about all the experiences that dog's had.....would make for interesting reading!
Hope he has a great birthday party! The menu sounds good to me.

Thanks. Houston traffic is always bad, but Friday and Saturday were worse than usual as the people of Houston were complaining about how bad it was.
Many of my travels, such as this trip to DC, are for projects to benefit patients. AHRQ (Agency for Healthcare Research & Quality in the Dept of Health and Human Services) and PCORI (Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute) always call me to be a subject-matter expert or KI (key influencer) when they are doing projects related to afib (I've done way more than a dozen of them). This project is both AHRQ and PCORI - they called me to interview me as a subject matter expert for this one and ended up inviting me to participate in the working group. The details are not public (the case with so many of the projects I get drawn into), but it is to improve the treatment afib patients receive. Hopefully, the DC trip will be easier.
Hope you're having a great Sunday.

A like button would be awesome. I read so many posts I would just like to let people know they are being heard without actually responding. Especially Spencer. Happy Birthday Thor! My cat is 17 today. Special treats are certainly in order. Deanna
