Scar Tissue Tightness and Discomfort (from open heart surgery/ablation)

I had 2 ablations in the past 2 years and an open heart surgery severl years back. They produced a lot of scar tissue. I started experiencing chest tightness and discomfort after the ablations. I've been ignoring the symptions until now–they are more frequent and serious and they seem staying longer. I would want to know if anyone had the same experiences, and can share your remedies, methods that could get rid of the tightness and discomfort.

Your sharing is much appreciated.

Best,

You are the first person I've found that mentioned chest tightness and discomfort.  I also have that feeling.  Mine started after I had a pacemaker put in. I thought maybe it was the heart medicine I was on, but  the doctor says there is no physical reason for the feeling.  He thought it was depression and/or anxiety.   I had to give up wearing bras for the longest time as I couldn't stand the feeling of a band around my chest, since it felt like it had a band around it anyway.   The only thing I have come up with is that it is an overall reaction of my body and the nerves in the area to the trauma of the experience.  I took CBD oil drops for a while and that seemed to help.  And a glass of wine at night helps.f while I'm drinking it, so that points to muscle tension perhaps.   After 2 years it is beginning to east up.  I have gone back to being able to wear a bra in the last couple of weeks.  I think my body is beginning to adjust.  I wish I knew what it was.  I wish I could help more.  But at least you know you're not alone.  I hope you feel better soon.  Love, Jeanne
