New Research: AFib after CABG linked to minimal long-term stroke risk
In interesting new research, those who developed post-operative afib (POAF) after bypass surgery (CABG) had about 1/3 less risk of developing clots than those with traditional (non-valvular) atrial fibrillation. Therefore, the need for anticoagulants in those with POAF may be less than for those with other afib.
