Hi, I am a newly diagnosed A-fibber with a pacemaker having been inserted a month ago. I have so much to learn. I also had 5 stents put in 2 years ago and a heart attack last year.
But yesterday I was told by my cardiologist that I have to take Amiocardone and I'm afraid of the stuff I'm reading. I'm writing to ask if anyone has any comments - good or bad - about this medication. I also take Metropolol, Eliquis, Hydrochlorothiazide,.Plavix.
Thank you in advance.

Hi, Mimi5b4g1! Welcome to the group! I wonder if the medication about which you are asking is Amiodarone (rather than Amiocardone). If so, there has indeed been a lot of discussion about it and its side effects. A few folks have said they take it without any side effects, but most do not. If you use the "Search" box at the top of this page and type in Amiodarone, you'll get more comments on it than you'd want! Glad you're doing your research! Let us know how you are doing.
