HI!
Hello. My name is Connie. New to this. I just had a heart attack on 1/26/21. Went to hospital via ambulance, had stent placed, then coded on 1/27/21. Kinda confused and scared about all this. Only 56 and still raising kids. I have started in Cardiac Rehab, have a life vest on for now, and go back to Cardiologist on 2/19. So just trying to figure my way through and around all this. Looking for support and advice on what to do and how to handle things. Any thoughts, advice and friends welcomed!!

Connie;
Intro. Former AFIB. Family history of similar challenges.
Assumption. You have all heart baseline test ordered by MD.
Life Style. Change. No salt or sugar or processed foods. Zero! Regular workouts get your BMI based on height where it needs to be Normal. I know it will be hard but get athletic with MD approval. Research eastern medicine and supplements for the heart with MD approval. Research Dr Marlene Merritt, OAM MS Nuritition Austin. MD has you on Rx. Keep a daily log of EKG (Kardia) and BP/PR.
Keep the Faith!

Connie, sorry to hear that you've had a heart attack at such a young age. I've never had one, but can recommend your doing Google research on this and making lists of questions for all the doctors (and PAs) you may see. I hope that others here will chime in with their experiences. Feel free to keep asking questions here! Keep us posted!
