In need of recommendation for an EP in the Rochester, New York area

Hello, I was diagnosed with afib in January, 2017 and underwent an ablation the following July.  I've since had 2 cardioversions and am scheduled for another this week.  I was on Flecainide following my ablation but it was discontinued by my EP last fall due to atrial flutter. I had a pacemaker implanted in 2019 due to sick sinus syndrome.  If the cardioversion is unsuccessful, the next step will be Tikosyn.  I just feel that I need to have a new EP take a look at things - I'm very symptomatic and having a really rough time.  Can anyone recommend an EP in the Rochester, New York area?

IMO I'd look outside Rochester to include some of the major medical centers in the US.  Clevland Clinic,  Dr Natale in Austin, etc etc.

    Good afternoon,

I'm sorry to hear that you're having a hard time with your AFib. If you visit heart.org and enter your zip code in the "In Your Community" field on the top right, you can find your local AHA office and connect with someone who can help you find a specialist in your area! I can also share this resource on Getting a Second Medical Opinion. Please keep us updated on how you're doing.

Sorry to hear your challenges.  I agree with jwm1776... for complex conditions Dr. Natale (Texas Cardiac Arrhythmia) or the Cleveland Clinic.  Dr. Natale's team continues to interact with our local Cardiologist and EP 15 months post the ablation Dr. Natale performed.

The best place to find other EPs in your area is to use the Heart Rhythm Society Find a Specialist search (https://www.hrsonline.org/find-a-specialist).

I put in a Rochester zip code and told it to search within 70 miles, and that brought up 14 EPs. The only one I know is Dr. Anne Curtis, and she is fabulous. She's a former president of the Heart Rhythm Society (maybe the first woman president, I'm not sure). I've worked with her on various steering committees, including one currently. You might recognize her from the KardiaMobile TV commercials.
