Depotdoug’s Home Sleep Test done and delivered
I am still IN NSR now 188 marvelous days post cath ablation May6th. My breathing is phenomenal and easy and even fun.
Yes HST aka home sleep test is history, at least the wearing and recording and being tethered to two wires SpO2, lower chest band, and 2 respiration nostril tubes gently resting on inside of nose.
7hrs and 27 min "sleep time" counting turn on recording device till i woke up at 05:59.
Delivered to my LH Sleep Lab at 07:30 and good ridance. I would rather of had another RF cath ablation instead.
Results: TBD in ~ 2 weeks.
I am back to DreamWisp CPAP luxury tonight.

Doug, I'm glad your home sleep test is over -- let us know the results (when you do). Your description of it was interesting-- it sounds much better than my two "overnights in a sleep lab." What with innumerable electrical attachments (and the need to get up twice in the night), I got only two hours of sleep the first time, and none the second time. Talk about boring! I agree that the sleep techs are more knowledgeable and kinder than my pulmonologist was, but of course they are not allowed to give you any "medical" analysis because they are not doctors! So, I still don't know the "results" of my sleep lab tests and would not do that sleep lab test again.

Me two i had my flopped in Sleep Lab in there bed with 100 electrical wire contacts on my body Sept 2014. I did not sleep my 60 min maybe not. I just sent a request for F/U pulmonologist/sleep dr apptointment.
Yeh, ~ 2 weeks out. Dont know yet. I had to request a Pulmonologist NP appt. Yes one i've seen 5-6 years ago. My Sleep Clinic Doctor had to leave go out of the country family emergency!! Ouch in this COVID environment.
My main goal is getting an RX sent to my DME CPAP provider for a new state of the art 2020 or 2021 Wi-Fi or cellular sleep data tracking.
That is not asking too much.

Hang in there, Doug! I'm surprised that you can't get an RX for a new CPAP. When I was using a CPAP, I always found staff to be suspiciously eager to get me more "stuff." I'm glad I don't need to use a CPAP any more. All the best,

Thumper2, Yep agree. I just made an appointment for Nov 30th to see a Pulmonologist NP Michelle.
ONe thing down, two to go. Surprisingly my HST may or may not be the trigger for getting a new newer CPAP 2020 or 2021 model.
My Sleep DME CPAP supplier locally in FW which i called right before I left my HST drop off Tues AM says i qualify for 'new equipment' because mine is 6y2m old.
Do you think I am gonna let this glitch go away no way. I will call my Sleep Lab Clinic today or Friday and remind them please send the HST recorder results to me to my Pulmonologist/Sleep Disorder NP. Yes, i have no qualms of messaging my NP Michelle today with my reasons and concerns for new equipment.
I am a persistent patient patient within limits. Oh by the way I just got hurried scheduled to due my CT and NM Cancer scans and PSA & blood labs next week in Indianapolis. That was a surprise but welcome. My newest Med Onc Haematologist @ IU Shelly and Schwarz Cancer Center wants those done ASAP like next Tue, then see him next Friday. That's two trips to Indianapolis.
Next up messaging my newest PUlmonary NP after lunch. Of course time for EEC exercise workout now.
