Bumped off Daily Digest again

It's March 1, and I have not received any Daily Digest for the last 3 days.  Is there some reason for this?  I have been a participating member for several years.

    Hi Thumper,

    FWIW, I still get the daily digest. Hopefully an admin will chime in re any changes.

    I no longer get mine either.  I have an icon on my ipad. IfI don't open it myself, and I often forget for days, i'd never see the comments etc. I am now checking my junk mail, but it is not there either. I feel this site has never worked as well since the changes of a few years ago. It feels less relaxed and easy to negotiate.

    I'm  not back on yet. I thought I'd leave a message on the AHA Moderator's site, but on going there, I found that one cannot leave any message on his/her site!

    I agree, Patio7.  We never had this kind of problem when Mellanie was moderating the site.  We had a real community going.   I know she's too busy these days, but if I run across someone who I think could benefit from being here, I hesitate, because they must go through several (unclear) links to get here, as I did this morning.   Anyway, thanks for your supportive remarks -- I hope to get back on sooner or later.   If I were a little more computer-sophisticated, I'd put an icon on my IMac to solve the problem.

    I have not been receiving mine either.  I checked my spam, etc. but it is not there.

    I'm sorry you're having problems with the digest, Judy.

    I am not aware of any changes in the Daily Digest, and I have received mine every day for the past week except for Friday. Have you whitelisted the address (support@heartandstrokeregistry.heart.org) so your email provider cannot sent those emails to the junk filter and delete them? That is the most common problem when emails are not received. Our providers are doing their best not to forward junk to you, and they sometimes mistake requested emails for junk and delete them.

    In rebuilding my computer Sunday and Monday, I lost the address to email the support network moderator and have asked the AHA team to send it to me. I will add it here when I get it. You can email the moderator for help with the daily digest and other issues. 

    What happened to cause you to have "unclear links" to get back to MyAFibExperience?

    Mellanie, thanks for the response!  My "unclear" method of getting back on the Daily Digest is to search for an old email (in my trash, where I put them; our computer doesn't trash things -- we do), go to the site, >> "My Afib Experience" [I was already signed in) >> Community Forum >>> Connect....>>>  Heart >>>  AFib >>> Home.  Then I'm in familiar territory.  But there are way too many options here, for a newbie, IMHO.  And more options than I want to use to open the Daily Digest!   I used to get it regularly ,early every morning with my new emails.  I hope it will just reappear!

    Judy,

    It's your email provider, not your computer, that deletes junk mail. Your provider should have a process for you to "whitelist" the address the Daily Digest comes from (support@heartandstrokeregistry.heart.org) so they don't decide it is junk mail and delete it without ever sending it to you.

    If you cannot find their process for whitelisting an address, if you're willing to share the name of your provider, we can see if we can find it.

    I agree that it is cumbersome. There will be some changes soon, which I have not yet seen but I hope that will make it easier to find what you need.

    In the meantime, you can type in "myafibexperience.org" (you might bookmark this address) and it should take you to the home page. Then you use the menu to select Community Forums, then At Home, which is where most of the posting takes place these days.

    I have changed nothing on my email or Ipad and no longer get notices or the daily email. Rather than fight the system I use my icon. It means I sometimes get notices of responses to my comments, but more often If I don't go look for them, I don't see them . It has meant less group dialogue  the past couple years and a less close group, which is unfortunate.  And it is this site. Not an issue with others. Unfortunate because I think Mellanie the data here and the membership is the best. You set a high standard. I miss the old group that provided almost instant support.

    Hi, Judy. I got your emails to the Support Network email inbox and replied with some steps to double-check your digest settings, but I didn't hear back from you, and it sounds like you're still having problems. I wanted to make sure my emails to you were going through and not getting caught in spam, so please let me know if you're getting the emails back from the Support Network. Thanks!

    I'm also having the same problem as Judy and some others.  Mine stopped coming in about 3 days ago.
