Attention Melanie and Jean

Hello Maline , Hope you could place me. I am a member here for about three years now. I regularly read posts here but for quite sometime never saw any post from Spenser. He had been a great contributor on this forum but I find him missing for quite long now. Can you please give some update on Spenser. I miss him a lot.

Thanks

Shafiq

    Hi, Shafiq,

So good to hear from you. I hope you're safe and well. Has COVID-19 been a big problem there, or is it under control?

It's been a lot quieter here since we have not heard much lately from Spencer (Mr. life-of-the-party)! I hope he is doing well, also.

I've been so involved in work - webinars and many other things, including over the holidays - and have not been here quite as much either. But, I hope we can get back to talking a lot more about afib.

Hi Mellanie, Thanks for your kind reply. Here in Pakistan Covid 19 is continuing though with lesser intensity. Since its onset last year .5 million cases have been reported positive and the death toll stands at 10,000 plus.

On my heath the AF has attained sort of a pattern as an episode every 4-6 weeks. It lasts around 6-20 hours and then converts to NSR. Am on the regimen of Sotalol 120 mg in morning and 80 mg at night, Xeralto 20 mg once daily. I also arranged Doctors Magnecium from USA/ Canada since its not available locally. Take 200 mg daily. Just living with this arrangement since my symptoms are mild with heart rate in range 80-90 bpm. Resting heart rate is 59, BP under control with medicine, Norvasic (Amplopidine) 10 mg OD.

Still very eager to read Spenser very rightly titled by you Mr-life-of-the-party. Hope we see him back on the forum to lighten up the atmosphere. Best Regards

    Shafiq

Thanks Depotdough. Through this wonderful forum we talk to each other and get greatly educated in the process. My special thanks to Mellanie making all this happen. All Artrifibers remain highly indebted to her untiring efforts towards the nobel cause.

    Shafiq,

Thank you for such kind words.

I'm sorry that Pakistan is also suffering from COVID, but it sounds like it is well-controlled there. With a population about two-thirds that of the US, and fewer cases than most states in the US, that is good news.We in Texas are approaching two million cases, and California has already passed that number, so only half a million cases is impressive.

Many of us take 400 mg per day of magnesium glycinate, so you could probably increase your dose. But, with it being difficult to get, it is understandable that you would want the most conservative dose possible that helps.

Please stay well, and healthy. So great to hear from you.

    Mellanie
