Atrial Tach/Flutter Post Ablation
Had my follow up with the EP, said results of 24 hour HR monitor show Atrial Tach/Flutter. That the LA is trying to trigger AFib (so far it has succeeded only one since January's ablation).
Said the options are second ablation where they would map the area and be more aggressive, or increase Flecainide to 100 mg BID or wait and see. I opted for wait and see for now. Especially because I was told that given my LA moderate *********** (likely due to childhood reheumatic fever, altho I cant verify this), "success is not that good".
The Atrial tach diagnosis I suppose exlplains the HR going up to 187 for a second or two and then back down. My cardiologist said not to worry as long as they are brief.
To complicate matters I am due for my colonoscopy on Monday and need to stop Xarelto 48 hours before and after.
Anyone out there experiencing Atrial tach post ablation?

Do you have mitral valve regurgitation reported on your ECHO?

Yes, mitral valve regurgitation mild -moderate

It is my understanding mitral valve regurgitation can trigger AFIB. We have similar findings regarding mitral valve regurgitation mild - moderate. Since 2018 my value regurgitation went from trace-mild-moderate. Very confusing. Your cardiologist obviously knows what he is doing.
