AFib, flutter and ectopics?

Hello,

I was diagnosed with PAF two years ago but I also have fast thumps from time to time and skipped and double beats as well.  I imagine this combination isn't unusual.  Does one impact the other?

My ablation scheduled for Monday has been put off, no date given.  Virus "outbreak" at the heart unit where I am to have it done.  I confess I am disappointed.  I've waited a year and a half and finally got on the semi-urgent list.   So hopefully it won't be too long.

    Good morning,

I'm glad you are reaching out to the community here on the AHA Support Network, however, questions this specific should be put to your cardiac care team.

I can imagine it must be frustrating that your ablation has been put off. I hope that you are able to get this scheduled again as soon as the outbreak is resolved at the heart unit. Please continue to update us on your appointment and how you are doing.

    Best Wishes,

    The AHA Team

Thank you, AHA Team.  Much appreciated, and for the invitation to keep you posted.  I will do that.

    Canada,

I'm sorry that your procedure has been postponed, but please keep your spirits high. It's so much better that they postponed than to bring you in and risk it. They know what they are doing, and want you to be safe and well cared for. They need to take care of themselves (and likely are having staffing issues at this time), so have faith that when the time is right, you'll be able to get it done.

And please don't stress about it - take some deep breaths and envision your time coming when it is right (and safe).

    Mellanie
