2019 Is Here! What is your Inspo?

Good evening Heart Warriors and Happy New Year!  I hope that your day was filled with rest and relaxation as the calender has turned. Today I began my day a little later than normal.  As I get older, not sure about you, but it is just so darn hard to stay up those last 45 minutes into the New Year!  As I drank my coffee and watched the various news shows that pictured the year in review, I was amazed at all of the segments re: New Year's Resolutions and "how tos". What not to do, what to do, what should you do.... all in order to keep your New Year Resolution (NYR).

For me personally, I am not a resolution kind of gal, only because I feel that by the end of January, I have failed so miserably, why set myself up for failure with the fresh start of a new year?  That got me thinking throughout my day today.  What is my Inspo or Motivation for 2019?  My sisters and I usually try to come up with a slogan or saying that rhyms with the year, which to me, is the closest I come to NYR.  Last year it was to be a lean, mean, fighting machine in 2018!  Ha ha!  So much for the lean part, but fighting machine, I think I nailed down pretty well as that is part of my personality to never give up, no matter how hard the fight.  This year, we are still swirling on something that goes with 2019. Anyone have any thoughts?

In the meantime, as I reflected on all the news media outlets today providing input on the "how to's" keep your NYR, I thought to myself, what is wrong with a resolution to Just Be?  You may ask your self, what does it mean to Just Be?

Here is what I came up with as an Inspo for 2019

Just Be - Focus more on just being in the moment instead of trying to think of what I am not accomplishing by being in the moment.  Life is short, and perhaps I need to appreciate more of life's precious moments by just "being".

Just Be -  A Blessing to someone.  A simple smile or hello to a stranger can make all the difference in someone's day. Did you ever notice when giving a genuine compliment to someone, that not only do you feel good, but the other person likely feels better than you do? Ask yourself, not only how can you be a blessing to others, but count your blessings each day.  It may be something as simple as a hot cup of coffee, a flower, your dog, or the roof over your head.  Just find something. The more blessings you find in your life, the more you will be blessed.

Just Be - The person that you are meant to be.  Sure, we can all use improvments and can always do better.  But Why force yourself into being someone you aren't?

Just Be - True to yourself.  You know where your faults lie and what you need to do better. Own your lifestlye.  In the end, you and only you are accountable for all your actions.

Just Be - lieve in yourself.  As heart patients, at times, we tend to question why we were dealt "this card" and sometimes that negative thought process, can pull us down and derail our positivity.  Believe in yourself, that YOU CAN and WILL GET across that finish line, one heart beat at a time. The neat thing about believing in yourself, is that no matter what lemons life hands you, you can squeeze them and turn them into lemonaide.  Just Believe!

Just Be - Your best, in everything you do❣️

Wishing you all a year filled with love, lots of laughter, abundant blessings and most of all - Cheers to a Heart Healthy Year ahead!

With heart,

Ambassador C

This is a really nice sentiment and excellent words to live by. I have never been a big believer in new year's resolutions either but rather just tried to improve on some of these things you've listed. I will keep this as a handy reminder to just be. I think your words have become my Inspo for 2019!

I love this!!! I have always felt New Year's Resolutions are mis-used, and this year my 14-year-old said her resolution was not to have a resolution, so how I'm feeling must be rubbing off!! But sincerely love the idea of being more intentional about 'being' in 2019.....i've spent a good deal of time trying to get to this place of 'being' and although I believe it to be an everyday battle, with every year it's getting a little easier.....thank you for sharing your inspiration! Prayers for a health-filled, prosperous and joyous 2019!!

Thank you Taurrabarr❣️ It makes my heart smile that I’m not alone in sharing the “resolution” to not make a resolution. Cheers to “be”ing more in 2019 and “be”ing the best you can. Happy New Year🎉🎊.

    Keep on fighting with heart,

    Ambassador C

I like your suggestion to Just Be.... better than a resolution, and definitely the best way to appreciate every day with a little heart warrior!
