New here

I was born in 1977, from day one of my birth, I had open heart surgery when I 8 hours old, then had a second operation at 9 months old. I was born with Greater Transpotion of the vessel's, my blood flow was flowing in the opposite directions. And all of this took place ( the operations) at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville Tn, my doctor was Dr.Graham who passed away this year, I do believe he was in his late 70s. In 1999 I had a stint put in. I was doing good until a few years ago. I was told that one day I was going to need a heart transplant, well that day has come. I have been diagnosed with CHF, and other symptoms. I had been working with the city I lived in which is the City of Temple TX, I have worked there for the last 15 years, until now. With my condition and waiting on a Heart transplant, I can no longer work. I do believe that God has his reasons for this, I have a 4 year old little girl, who at first was a mommy's gril, girl, ever since I have been off that has changed. I was talking to my wife one night about possibly going to work at Walmart once all this is done. My little girl looked at me and said  Daddy I don't want you to work, I like being home with you, talking about tugging at the heart. So like I said I have a little girl, but now we are having twin boys who are due in April, but with twins they arrive earlier. So there's a some more test I need to get done, so my doctor's told me it should be another year or two that I will get on the transplant list. So that's just a little about me. Thank you for taking the time to read this. GOD BLESS EACH AND EVERYONE!!!!

So sorry to hear of the difficulties you've had to endure. But it is also nice that you have been blessed with a little girl that loves you and now twins on the way. With the news that you're on a transplant list, you have much to look forward to! Perhaps you should take your daughter's advice and put off working for a while if you can. The time you spend with her is precious as they grow up all too fast!

I wish you all the best!

    Jim
