Some stroke like symptoms but no blood clots

So I have been having some stroke like symptoms for quite a while now but every time I get a head CT and they checked me for blood clots they never find any blood clots matter of fact in July I had a heart catheterization done and every single artery in my heart except for one very teeny tiny one on the backside of my heart that they cannot put a stent in because the size of the artery has a small clot in it a my cardiologist is not too worried about it I go to the University of Kansas Medical Center but for several days now for almost a week I've been having stroke-like symptoms such as numbness and tingling on the right side of my head and in my mouth area and some weakness in my arms and legs and numbness in them and a very severe extreme headache but no vision changes no loss of speech no slurred speech nobody can figure out what's going on because nothing in any of the tests that they're doing on me shows that I'm having a stroke and they say that I'm not having a stroke according to my blood work in my head CT and also echo doone on my legs but I asked the doctor today and he told me that yes you can still have a stroke without blood clots how is that possible never heard of a person having a stroke that doesn't have any blood clots I thought a blood clot was one of the things that made a stroke happen hopefully somebody can answer this for me and give me some clear answers what's going on
