Nicotine and blood pressure?
Does nicotine affect blood pressure. Healthy 40 year old. In shape. 13-14% bf. Workout 4 days a week. Cardio etc. I have high bp all the time. Sometimes brought on by when I get busy at work and sticks most of the day. Could it be nicotine? Hormones? I take 16mg of zyn(nicotine lozenge) a day. I used to dip and now use this. Let me know if this could cause my high bp

Good morning,
Thanks so much for bringing your question to the patient support network. As you continue to interact with other members, we hope you will be able to foster a sense of community and support! I found this resource on How Smoking and Nicotine Damage Your Body, and it mentions that can cause an increase in blood pressure, heart rate, the flow of blood to the heart, and a narrowing of the arteries. I hope you find it helpful!
Please keep us updated on how you are feeling.
Best wishes,
