carotid artery stenosis
my bllod pressure is controlled with medication. my cholesterol counts within normal. i have question about carodit test i had in last 3 years in 3 different facilities. i am reluctant to go on cholesterol medication because tests appear to be the same. i cant get any help from cardiologyst. my last test stated "20-49% stenosis in internal carotid arteries". Test 1 year ago said "mild plaque in internal carotid arteries without significant stenosis" i googled mild and it is 25-49% range. 3 years ago my test stated "internal carotid artery with mild to moderate plaque". am i correct that just looking at plaque in internal carotid arteries my tests are the same? i am not looking for medical advice, just checking on my doctor and if i should find new one. he told that my most recent test as far as plaque in internal carotid arteries is different from last year. my repeated attempts asking for explanation got me nowhere.

Good morning Confused, I think getting a new cardiologist is in order. The patient/doctor relationship is vital to a good recovery. If you are not comfortable with how you are being treated, your recovery could be impacted. Best Katie
