anybody have ejection fraction (heart)
ok so i signed up to do bariatric surgery. before you get surgery you have to go to see all these different doctors to make sure you're cleared for surgery. the cardiologist called me and said that when they did an echogram my heart has some type of ejection fraction of 40-55%. a normal heart is 50-55%. i'm scared and i don't understand this. i don't want my heart to fail. anybody in the same boat???

Good morning,
Thank you for sharing your story with the community, this sounds like a very stressful experience. While I'm not a medical professional I do recommend asking your doctors for more clarification on your results. In the meantime, I can share some High Blood Pressure resources to help you learn more. Please keep us updated on how you're doing!
Best,
The AHA Team
