Thickening of the left ventricle of your heart
Hi all, I just had an EKG and was told I have thickening of my left ventricle of my heart. The doctor told me it could be from high blood pressue, I suffer from white coat syndrome and my pressure is always sky high when i visit the doctor. I purchased a blood pressure machine a few years ago and take my readings regualry. They are always in the 'normal zone'. Anyone else have simliar experiences?

Having a high blood pressure reading at the doctor because you're a little nervous is not uncommon and it's happened to me. At home you're more relaxed so your reading is closer to normal. That said, you should have your blood pressure machine calibrated. I believe you can do that at your doctor's office.

thank you very much for your advise, it was helpful. I have similar experience, my blood pressure shows normal reading at home and always higher at Doctor's clinic.
Also I guess my doctor will advise if i should not take the pressure medicine if my pressure is normal.
