Hot Feeling for Stroke
My mother is 79 and had a stroke on 8/29/2018 and she is often having a hot feeling in her back and all over her upper torso. Her skin is actually hot to the touch. Is this a common symptom for stroke survivors? What have others done for this? Thank you!

Good morning, thank you for sharing this! I have not heard of this side effect and am curious about what her doctor says? You could also check with her pharmacist to see if there is a medication reaction happening. I also encourage our members to respond and share their experiences as well. Thank you so much, Katie

Ditto, Katie's comments. That is not from her August Stroke. It may be medications, but If she is actually hot she may be running a fever which means she has an infection.
You should call the doctor right away and let them make a decision about what steps to take next.
I wish both of you well. Please make that call.

Thank you both! We did go to the Emergency Room for that and also a pressure in her chest. I also had shared the information with her Primary Care provider. Still not clear on the hot feeling but she was dehydrated and we are addressing that issue.
